NFL Hall of Famer Michael Irvin didn’t hold back when he reacted to Shedeur Sanders falling way deeper in the NFL Draft than expected.
On his YouTube channel, Irvin called it what it is: “a $50 million robbery.”
Irvin said:
“There’s no way Shedeur should’ve been sitting there that long. It’s a shame. It’s a straight robbery, man – $50
million off the table, just like that.”
He then put the league on blast:
“You can’t tell me it’s not politics. You can’t tell me it’s not personal. Look at what that kid did at Colorado – he proved everything they said he couldn’t.”
Irvin pointed out how Shedeur’s performance at Colorado
over 3,200 passing yards, 27 touchdowns, only 3 picks
— should’ve made him a lock for a high draft pick, especially compared to quarterbacks with less production and less pressure.
He ended with a warning to the league:
“Y’all thought you got over? You gonna have to pay double when Shedeur shows you who he really is.”
Shedeur eventually signed with the Cleveland Browns, but Irvin — and a lot of the football world – believe the damage is done. And Shedeur’s about to make the whole system regret sleeping on him.
